What opened, what closed, what changed

The internet is full of Rancho Cucamonga guides recommending demolished racetracks and renamed ballparks. This page is the antidote — a running, dated record of the changes that matter.

OpenedSep 2026

Primecut Taqueria

An Orange County taqueria that grills prime cuts over charcoal took the Foothill Blvd suite at 11561 W Foothill, its first Inland Empire location and its fourth overall. The chamber ribbon-cutting is September 12. Breakfast is on the menu; hours were still settling at opening, so check before a special trip.

Changed2026

The Quakes are an Angels affiliate now

The 2026 California League realignment made the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes a Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels — the Dodgers era is over, and the old franchise moved to Ontario as the Tower Buzzers. The Quakes still play at the same ballpark, which also has a new name: Morongo Field at The Epicenter (formerly LoanMart Field).

Changed2026

Route 66 centennial year

The City's year-long 'Cruisin' Through Time' program marks 100 years of Route 66, with events along Foothill all year. Klatch released a Centennial espresso for the occasion.

OpenedApr 2026

Cultural Center Courtyard

The Victoria Gardens Cultural Center finished its Courtyard Project: permanent outdoor stage, sound system, shade, and expanded seating.

Closed2025

Joseph Filippi Winery

The historic winery closed in 2025. The city's own pages haven't caught up. What happens to the Regina Winery property is a story we're watching.

ReopenedLate 2024

Magic Lamp Inn

Closed in 2023, fully renovated, and back — flame-throwing neon intact. Ignore any article that says otherwise.

Opened2024–25

The Brewmill

A new independent brewery took over the former No Clue space on Arrow Route. No kitchen; food trucks rotate.

OpenedOct 2023

The Bark at Central Park

4.4 acres, three enclosures — the city's proper dog park, replacing the old Etiwanda Creek one.

OpenedDec 2023

Sky Zone Rancho Cucamonga

The trampoline-park chain landed in RC. Their site is cagey about the street address — call before you drive.

Closed2023

Auto Club Speedway, demolished

Fontana's NASCAR track ran its last race in 2023 and is becoming warehouses. Any guide still listing it hasn't been outside lately.

ComingTBD

Brightline West at Cucamonga Station

High-speed rail to Las Vegas, under construction at the Metrolink station site. No opening date — and we won't publish one until it's real.
