Arts & culture in Rancho Cucamonga

The anchor is a house. Sam Maloof’s hand-built home and workshop in Alta Loma is a national-caliber craft destination that happens to sit in a suburb — tour it once and you’ll send people there for years. The Lewis Family Playhouse runs a real professional season for families, and its new outdoor courtyard stage (finished spring 2026) is the city’s best new venue.

The Wignall at Chaffey College does serious contemporary art for free — check dates, it goes dark between shows. And when you want live music beyond a bar back-room, be honest about geography: the rooms that matter are in Pomona. The Glass House and the Fox are twenty minutes away and worth every one.
