Archibald Library
The west side's workhorse library, holding down Archibald Avenue until its Lions Park replacement arrives in 2027.
The Archibald Library is the older, plainer counterpart to the Biane branch at Victoria Gardens — a workhorse library open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm, with free wifi and its own parking.
Know what's coming: the city is replacing this building with the new Diane Williams Library at Lions Park, currently estimated for Spring 2027. Until then, Archibald carries on as a fully operating branch, with the same card and catalog that work across the system.
If you get to choose your branch, Biane has the longer evening hours and the bells and whistles. If you're on the west side, Archibald is the closer answer — and there's a modest countdown-clock interest in visiting a library in its final act.
