Central Park

One hundred acres of lawn, trails, a free outdoor gym — and the city's best dog park.

Central Park is Rancho Cucamonga's civic backyard: 100 acres on Base Line Road holding the senior center, the Goldy S. Lewis Community Center, a Veterans Memorial, long lawn stretches that host the city's community events, and a free outdoor fitness court that gets real use.

The headline for dog owners is The Bark at Central Park — 4.4 acres split into three one-acre-plus enclosures, opened in late 2023, open dawn to dusk daily. It replaced the old Etiwanda Creek dog park and immediately became the place where the city's dogs conduct their social lives.

It's also the start line for RC Rides, the free monthly community bike ride, third Saturdays at 8am. Parking is free and plentiful. If you're new in town with kids or a dog and want to find your people, start here on a Saturday morning.
