Where to stay
First, the honest frame: this is a drive-to city with no walkable hotel district. Pick your cluster by what you’re here for.
In Rancho Cucamonga
The in-city cluster runs along Foothill and Haven: Hampton Inn & Suites (11669 Foothill Blvd), Homewood Suites, and Hilton Garden Inn cover the reliable-brand tier. The closest thing to a boutique stay is the Sanctity Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton (12255 Base Line Rd) — newer, sharper, and home to Durango, the rooftop bar we send everyone to anyway. If you’re here for Victoria Gardens, a Quakes series, or house-hunting, stay in this cluster.
Near ONT / Ontario Mills
Two and a half to three and a half miles south sits the airport cluster: Embassy Suites, DoubleTree, Hyatt Place, Ayres Suites, and several more Hamptons. Rates often run lower, and for an early flight or a convention at the Ontario Convention Center it’s the practical pick.
Read the fine print
Many hotels branded “Ontario–Rancho Cucamonga” are physically in Ontario. That’s fine — it’s ten minutes — but if being in Rancho Cucamonga matters to your plans, check the actual address before booking, not the name.
