A city guide that checks its work

Foothill & Vine exists because of a specific frustration: nearly every “things to do in Rancho Cucamonga” page on the internet is a thin aggregator written from other aggregators. Several actively recommend places that are closed, renamed, or demolished. If you’ve ever driven to a locked gate, you know the cost.

Our rules are simple. Every listing carries a dated verification stamp. Every fact traces to a named source. When we can’t confirm something — an hour, a phone number — we publish the gap instead of a guess, and mark the listing unverified. When a place closes, we say so prominently instead of deleting it quietly.

The name comes from the two threads that make this city worth writing about: Foothill Boulevard, which is the real Route 66 and turns one hundred in 2026, and the vines of the Cucamonga Valley, which once out-produced Napa and Sonoma combined.
