Route 66 Trailhead Park

A pocket park on the old Route 66 alignment doubling as a Pacific Electric Trail access point.

Route 66 Trailhead Park is small and knows it: a pocket park on the historic alignment of Foothill Boulevard whose real job is getting you onto the Pacific Electric Trail. The Route 66 theming gives you something to look at while you clip in or lace up.

Treat it as infrastructure rather than destination and it delivers: free, parking on site, dogs welcome, and a clean entry point to the trail that runs the width of the city. If you've been meaning to ride the PE Trail and didn't know where to start on the west side, start here.

As a standalone park visit it's a stretch — for a lake-and-lawn afternoon, Red Hill Community Park is close by and far larger.
