The tower on Foothill is what's left of the Virginia Dare Winery: a 1908 Mission-style bell tower from the operation also known as the Mission Winery, now presiding over an office plaza full of people who mostly never look up.
Be honest with yourself about the visit: this is a drive-by or a short walk-up, not a venue. There's nothing to tour, nothing to taste, no door to knock on. You look at a genuinely handsome century-old tower, take the photo, and go.
As a landmark of the vineyard era it earns its five minutes. Chain it with Thomas Winery Plaza a couple of miles west and the Cucamonga Service Station, and you've got a compact windshield tour of what this valley was before the subdivisions.
