RC Sports Center
The city gym formerly known as Family Sports Center: basketball, volleyball, and pickleball on a short schedule.
First, the name: this is the RC Sports Center now, not the Family Sports Center — if you're navigating by the old name, you're in the right place. The building does indoor court sports: basketball, volleyball, and pickleball.
The schedule is the thing to plan around, because it's shorter than you'd assume: Monday through Friday 3pm to 8pm, Sunday 1pm to 5pm, and closed Saturdays. That's an after-school-and-evenings facility, not an all-day gym, and showing up at 10am gets you a locked door.
One calendar note with some personality: the center hosts the Route 66 Pancake Breakfast & Poker Run on September 18, 2026, which is exactly the kind of event a Route 66 city gym should host. The Epicenter is just down Rochester if you're stacking a sports day.
